Mary Hackbarth MSN, ARNP, FNP-C, is a native of Iowa Falls and practices at Iowa Heart Center’s Ankeny, Ames, Newton, and Indianola office location specializing in general cardiology care.
Mary holds an undergraduate diploma nursing degree from Allen College of Nursing in Waterloo, a bachelor’s degree of nursing from Grandview University in Des Moines, and her graduate master’s family nurse practitioner degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Mary originally joined Iowa Heart Center in May of 1998 as a hospital cardiology nurse for the cardiologists and transitioned into a clinical cardiology nurse team leader position prior to returning to complete her advanced education as a nurse practitioner.
Prior to joining Iowa Heart Center, Mary served for 10 years as an Intensive / Cardiac Care nurse at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Mary is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and holds BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
