Iowa Heart Center Foundation’s 28th annual Cardiovascular Today Conference increases knowledge of diagnosing, treating and preventing cardiovascular disease. The conference includes a variety of lectures, panel discussions, and exhibits aimed at physicians, physician’s assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, radiology technologists, coders, medical assistants, EMS providers and sonographers.
The 2019 conference will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Ron Pearson Center, 5820 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, IA.
Featured speakers included Iowa Heart Center Cardiologists Jennifer Goerbig-Campbell, MD, Troy Hounshell, DO, Daniel Shivapour, MD, Kyle Ulveling, MD, and Robert Hoyt, MD; Iowa Heart Center Cardiovascular Surgeons Ganga Prabhakar, MD, David Hockmuth, MD and David Chew, MD; and guest speakers Vascular Surgeon Jason Johanning, MD from Creighton University in Omaha, Pulmonologist Brad Wilcox, DO of Mercy-Des Moines, and Assistant Professor Maria Barnes, PhD. from Des Moines University.
